health and safety

as you can see I taken a test on how well I know the health and safety for the environment I will be working in. some examples of these are : adjusting the seats and the screen angle may damage eyes more if not adjusted

Task 3:Produce craft work

After I had my final idea in my head through idea development I came up with a idea and  I did a rough sketch on Photoshop so I can refer to it when I forget my initial idea. From this I was able to improve my ideas more by thinking from a different angle as such .

once I had my basic idea I then got a images from my ideas and refined them
for example: I added people and a sky and decided to use village houses .and I got the idea to have a dark sky.

this is a section that i did using some skills i learnt from some tutorials that i did during experimentation
the skills i had used were: smudging, blurring adding textures to people to make them look like they are made of stone and make a building seem to be burning.

this is my piece in but difference to the previous part is i brightened the fire on the buildings
made the volcano spit lava and added smoke
and last off I changes the weather slightly

this is my final out come from the previous screenshot of what i have done i have used the unsharpen mask to blur the image to make the whole image less realistic to help blend in the techniques

I liked what I have done if I did this again I would probably and magma
or lava to the statues. Also as well as the making the fire seem more realistic by changing the tone of the fire

Task 2:explore materials, tools and techniques to support craft ideas

Photoshop intro with dan
1st off we got a picture of big ben and cut it out

then we got a picture of the background we will use
put the big ben in front of the clouds

get a wave picture and blur there edges and adda a layer mask and erase to add or subtract  from the image

add the busses and a lage wave then blend the layers using the multilayer and use lasso totake asection of big ben then rotate and use hue /saturation

i reapeated the simailar sort of technique and created this image ~^

today
we  had  took a intro on graphics pads on how they work and how to change the settings.
then we started to create some paint brush settings on photoshop
we started by selecting the shape we want with the lasso tool
then use the gradient tool to get a black filling

after that we used the define brush pre-set

then we went on to the brush/brush pallete setting

then I adjusted the brush and added scatter and colour to produce ^ then repeated
with other colours

i mind mapped to show what I could do for my final piece
i had mind maped different natural disaterds and went into detail on different disater

i took a tutorial to try and improve my skills on Photoshop
so i turned a lion into a graphic statue
i started with a simple picture of a lion
i cut out the lions background
i selected the eyes and used the gradient tool
 I then desaturated the lion
 it looks like this
 i got a rock texture
then selcted both layers and used multiply

i got a picture of blood and cut it out
then  multiply and here we are turned into a statue

Thees are some expiroments of the statue texturs that i can use and i think ill use tyhe 2nd because that it stands out more

TASK 1 research and develop ideas

Volcanoes/earthquakes

Examples of recent natural disasters
and what may cause them

Hurricanes/Typhoons/cyclones

compare volcanoes to avalanches
volcanoes happen by magma from the centre of the earth where as avalanches come from snow falling from mountains

                Avalanches and landslides
these disasters are caused by winds moving at high
velocity they can go as fast as 182 miles per hour in speed

Tsunamis and Floods

  ARTIST Analysis
Gordon Reid I chose this piece because I like the way how he uses a range of textures and colours. This works well With the simple background. The use of bold colours increases the interest of the viewer for example his colour scheme was as simple as bright colours as well  the way how the triangles make  it seems like you are going through a portal and the use of the colour less triangles seems like your passing through it. the texture that i like is the way that the triangles a set of sunglasses

 Mel Marcello
I chose this piece because I like the way how the use of colour can attract so much attention by the way how colours are every where and it looks like its in space by the way it has planets and a astronaut in the background and it has a wavy sort of texture to it.also the colour scheme gives it a interesting look to it
for example i like the grid that looks like its from the satalite

 Steve McGhee
I like this piece cause it seems realistic and well manipulated
the parts that make me like the is the way how where the wings of the plane crashes the buildings.but the angle of the aeroplane seems like it bounced off the ground. the smoke makes the image have more texture.

Andrew Gardner

I liked this piece because the floods texture is dark; and the water on the cars has a splash texture. it uses an oblique colour scheme this makes it stand out more so it shows that it is more catastrophic.I might use a similar technique as inspiration

Chosen Disaster
I have chosen to do a volcano as my idea because it looks like it has the most potential for a good image.

my IDEA
i intent to use a volcano to make  someone to stone and have a city / town on fire from the lavaahnd have the lava flow down towards the village to create the fire
